FASTING INSPIRATION
Prayer and Fasting = Intimate communion with Jesus
Fasting without prayer is a diet. Fasting with prayer is falling prey to the love of your groom.
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. –Ephesians 5:31, 32
A deep and mysterious aspect of the love of the groom over the bride is revealed in Ephesians 5. There we are told that a human marriage is a likeness of the heavenly romance between Jesus and the bride of Christ.
As a man longs to find his wife and pursues until he does, as a man loves to look upon his bride, as a husband is exhilarated in his bride, captivated in his bride, undone in her beauty, so also the Lord is in His bride. As a man is overwhelmed when the bride returns his love, so also the Lord.
When the bride yields to this pursuit and says “I do” a marriage is begun. What does that marriage look like to you? Have you become so familiar with religion you have no time for romance? Have you ceased in flirting? Have you filled the marriage with housework?
Jesus the groom, loves it when we look to Him. He loves it when we adore Him. He loves it when we tell Him all He means to us. He loves it when we appeal to Him concerning our plight. He is jealous over us.
PRAYER EMPHASIS:
Today, let your mind roam in the romance of your groom and consider all that He means to you. Jot down several of the wonderful that come to mind. This exercise will enhance your ministry to Him. Bring these proclamations to Him, out loud, in loving conversation and declaration.

Today we continue with renewing our mind from the book of Mark. Read Mark 5-8. Take notes as you read the book of Mark, looking for points that strengthen your faith.
